The short version
The Diskly app doesn't collect, send or sell any data. It works entirely on your Mac. The only thing we collect is what you choose to send through the beta sign-up form on this website.
What the app does
Diskly reads the sizes, names and dates of files on your Mac to show you where your storage goes. That information stays on your Mac. Diskly keeps a few small files of its own, such as remembered scans and a list of what you deleted, in its folder in your Library, so it can open quickly and show Recently Deleted.
The app has no account, no analytics, no crash reporting and makes no network connections.
This website
This site doesn't use cookies or trackers. Like any website, the server that hosts it may keep standard access logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and reliability.
The beta sign-up form
If you join the beta, we keep your email address and your three answers (which Mac you have, how full your disk is and how comfortable you are with technical things), along with the date you signed up. We use them only to run the beta: to choose testers, understand feedback and email you about new versions. We don't sell them or share them for marketing.
They're stored on Amazon Web Services in Mumbai, India, and we get an email notification with your answers when you sign up. Our sign-up system doesn't store your IP address, though Amazon may process it briefly to deliver the request.
We keep them until the beta ends or you ask us to delete them. To leave the beta or have your details deleted, email hello@diskly.net.
